The Addison Rotary Foundation is a non-profit organization established to address community issues through service projects such as the Addison Rotary Open. The Foundation focuses on programs which emphasize children, youth and tomorrow’s leaders. Funding is provided through the Addison Rotary Open as well as other activities and the efforts of the members of the Addison Rotary Club.
In 1990, members of the Addison Rotary Club got together and thought up the idea of a benefit golf tournament. With the formation of the Addison Rotary Foundation, Inc., our mission became to help other charitable organizations provide assistance to the poor, aged, children and other underprivileged groups. Over our 34 year tournament history, we have given over $4 million to local charities such as the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.
The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas
Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD) is keeping families together, inspiring strength, and giving love and support to families whose children are receiving essential medical care. In an effort to lessen the burden, reduce stress, and enhance the quality of life for these families, RMHD provides temporary housing in a caring home-like atmosphere. Since opening in 1981, the House that Love Built has served more than 40,000 families. By keeping families together and providing compassion, lodging, meals, and transportation, parents can focus on what is most important - the health of their child. Your generosity and support of the Addison Rotary Open and other fundraising events help us do just that.
Accounting for nearly 10% of the annual operating budget, the Addison Rotary Open is an integral fundraising source toward meeting the annual operational needs of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.
